Driver Fatigue Warning System has an attractive appearance and a compact size. It is less than one third size of a 4.3-inch Navigator and will not block the driver’s vision. With a universal rotating base it is easy to install and adjust. You can put it left, middle or right above of the dashboard. MR688 looks like a camera, but it is an integration of high-end infrared cameras, microprocessor, memory modules and alarm system inside.
All components can work between -45 degrees to +85 degrees and the key devices are available packaged in super small size package with automotive-grade BGA standard. The device is made of environmentally friendly materials and are lead-free. It passes CE and FCC. Until now MR688 has achieved more than 10 independent patents.

Work Principle
Drivers normally aren't aware of fatigue driving before the actual accident happens. One of the most important functions of driver fatigue alarm system is to let the drivers understand they are actually in fatigue driving and increase their alertness level. Once the drowsiness detection system detects the driver is under fatigue driving, it will send out a sharp and loud sounds alarm immediately to the driver in cab based on pupil detection technology.At the same time, it will transmit the fatigue signal to the gps fleet tracking system, then the manager will know the driver's situation in office and take some actions to avoid the accident happened, in this way, they can realize the better fleet management.
When the fatigue warning appears as mentioned above, the driver should pull over immediately to have a rest to avoid accident. If the driver continues to drive without any rest, the anti sleep alarm MR688 will remind the driver to have a rest with making the sharp and loud sound whenever necessary.
After the drowsiness detection system is connected to power supply for 2 seconds, the green light will flash for 1 second. The driver fatigue alarm system;is started. If it is at night, you will notice that there is some dark red lighting for the ultra-red LED. In the first 30 seconds, the system detects the driver's position and location and analyzes status. It does not make warnings at this stage. After the driver has been driving for more than 30 seconds, the drowsiness detection sensor will make warnings. However, once power is on, the system will indicate if the driver's eyes are open. If the green light is on, the driver's eyes are open. If the green light is off, it means that the driver closes eyes or driver is not in the detecting range. You can adjust the camera's position depending on if the green light is on or not.
Driver fatigue alarm system MR688 can detect and analyze the driver's fatigue driving state prior falling into sleep. Normally, driver gets less and less sensitive to lighting around before falling into a sleepy state, and the intelligent software of MR688 is keeping detecting and analyzing and will make a warning whenever necessary with a sharp and loud sound to awake driver. Driver should stop immediately and have a rest.
Drowsiness detection system MR688 can also make some friendly reminder of driver's distraction driving to avoid accident. I.e. the driver does not focus on driving and talk to passengers. The driver bows head and gazes around or spends considerable amount of time of operating audio and navigation systems.
When vehicle safety system MR688 has detected that driver is in fatigue or distraction driving, the system will make a early warning sound. It issues three long beeps in six seconds, It takes about 8 seconds for the driver to enter unconscious state and the pupil will become smaller and smaller. The system is fully capable of start the alarm before it becomes dangerous. The right side photo is the identification process for driver with a pairs of glasses.
Besides the sounds alarming in cab, MR688 also can integrate with the fleet management system(gps tracking system) to output the fatigue signal or image, when the alarming happened, the manager also will know the driver's situation by the output signal.
About Glasses
If the driver wears the glasses with frame, in case the frame ward off driver’s eyes, the glasses should be pushed a little bit more up on the nose, or install the monitor at a lower position, we suggest to wear the glasses without the frame or with big lens.
For people who wear a pair of deep color sunglasses, they can install the monitor at a closer position, we suggest drivers to wear non-reflection light sunglasses. |
